Artifex Automation Limited was founded in 1971, in Cranleigh, Surrey, England. The family run business traded under this name until 1986, when it was then re-branded as Artifex Flexible Tubes Limited, to which it remains to this day.
By utilising new and improved methods of engineering and producing corrugated metal hose, the company expanded considerably and quickly became a world leader in the manufacture and supply of stainless steel hose, braid and hose assemblies.
As of 2015, Artifex Flexible Tubes Ltd. is now part of Rattay Group, increasing the scope of products and services available.
Despite the merger Artifex continue to manufacture metal hoses in the UK, maintaining a desire and aspiration to remain the ‘best of British’
